Usibelli Coal Mine, Healy, AK. Technical support to mining operations; implement mine plans, communicate state of production, & manage production database.
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign) in Mining, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field plus 1 year as a Mining Engineer or Intern Mining Engineer
- MSHA certification required
- Understanding of mine engineering practice, including knowledge of emerging technologies and methods.
- Knowledge of safety compliance and environmental regulations, safe work practices.
- Preparing designs and plans for Dragline and Truck/Shovel pits and able to implement plans in field.
- Knowledge of and able to perform basic surveying tasks, such as field staking.
- Mining design software (e.g. Surpac, AutoCAD, or similar)
