Warehouse Person
Located in Healy, Alaska

This position is responsible for receiving, stocking and distributing materials, tools, equipment and other supplies at the UCM warehouse facilities. This person will provide prompt and accurate assistance for material requests; issue out and credit stock items; perform pickup and delivery services; perform timely and accurate receipt of goods; and process parts requisitions. This person will maintain proper bin locations and space utilization; and perform cyclical counts. This position routinely interacts with outside vendors and performs daily data entry into the warehouse inventory program.

Experience/Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of warehouse operations, possess a valid Alaska Drivers License and have advanced computer skills.

Salary:  Will be dependent upon experience.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and have experience in the interpretation of parts books, catalogues and manuals. This person must possess interpersonal skills with the ability to work in an industrial environment and pass a post-offer drug test.

UCM Job Opportunity

Journeyman Electricians, Healy, Alaska

UCM is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician. The position is located in Healy, Alaska. This position is a member of the Electrical maintenance crew at Usibelli Coal Mine, Inc. (UCM). Duties will include installation of conduit, Installation and termination of general purpose power and lighting circuits, and Mineral Insulated cables.  Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects electrical problems in production and support equipment. Install, remove, repair, overhaul, and test electrical equipment. Perform installation, removal and repair of switchgear, transformers, starters, controllers, capacitors, etc. Reads electrical and related blueprints. Work to meet current electrical codes and company policy and practices. Individual shall be familiar with the installation of Motor Control Centers, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems. Previous experience with the use of low voltage testing equipment, such as Fluke multimeters, and Meggers is mandatory.

Experience/Qualifications:  A Journeyman Electrician with mining experience level of 2 years or more.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and have experience in a mining environment.  Successful candidate must pass a post-offer physical and drug test. The successful candidate will have or will obtain an MSHA Coal Mining Electrical Certification green card within six months of date of hire as a condition of employment.

Mechanic

There are currently two Mechanic positions available for consideration. 16 June 2008 Usibelli Coal Mine is seeking an experienced Journeyman, Diesel and/or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. The individual will work at the mine headquarters located in Healy, Alaska. Duties include repair, rebuild, and installation of components on dozers, loaders, haul trucks, and other mine related equipment. Tasks include troubleshooting, diagnostics, fault correction, repair and fabrication on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other related systems of mine production vehicles and support equipment. The candidate must be able to read maintenance manuals and related blueprints/schematics. Experience/Qualifications: An Alaska Journeyman ticket and at least five years experience in either mining or industrial maintenance fields are preferred. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and must pass a post-job offer physical and drug test. Salary dependent on experience.
