Coal Property: Approximately 32,500 acres (13,150 hectares) under state lease or sub-lease provisions.
Reserves:  Permitted reserves in excess of 30 years at current production rates. Additional surface mineable coal resource is under lease and available for expansion as needed.
Coal Rank: Subbituminous C
Coal Seams:  Mining is primarily from seams 3, 4, and 6 of the Suntrana Formation. These seams average approximately 18' (5.5m), 30'  (9.1m), and 24' (7.3m) respectively. Sandstone interburden depths average 70' (21m) between 3 and 4 seams and 125' (38m) between 4 and 6 seams. Other seams are mined to a lesser extent throughout the property.
Preparation:  Raw coal is crushed to 2" x 0" (50 mm x 0 mm) but no washing is performed.  Screening circuit can reduce minus 1/4" (6 mm) to less than 10% with top size to 6" (150 mm).
Production:  The current production level is approximately 1,500,000 tons (1,350,000 metric tons) per year. There is capacity available at the mine to increase production by another 1.5 million tons (1.35 million metric tons) per year with minimal capital expenditure.
